Western Ranch in Montana

We left Missoula in direction to Helena and from Helena we went to Augusta, our last stop in "civilization". We used this short stop for shopping.

From Agusta a very bumpy road took us to the Sun Canyon Lodge, out in the middle of nowhere. We enjoyed this western place, had lunch, played some horse shoe throwing and most of us went horse back riding in the nearby hills.
In the later afternoon we went for a boat tour on the nearby lake. We cruised the lake, enjoyed the scenery and finally went for a short swim in the cool water.

Back in the lodge we enjoyed the famous chuck waggon dinner, lots of salad, meet, sweets and other good stuff. And we'll never forget the campfire ...
